Kimmi & Tynam's wedding at Glamp & Tipple, Norfolk

A very wet but very beautiful wedding.

Kimmi and Ty did not let the rain spoil their day or any of their plans. Everything they wanted to do, they still did with utter joy on their faces. Quite frankly I do not know where to start, so I shall run through the day in chronological order.

They chose the Glamp and Tipple in Norfolk as their venue. An outdoor, relaxed glamping site. They stayed the night before the wedding so when I arrived at 9.30am Ty and his best man were about the get ready in the coolest prep space ever - a yurt.

The girl's morning was so chilled. Kimmi did her own make up and her bridesmaid did her hair. Kimmi has loose curls with a side plait and then added fresh lavender flowers to the plait.

It was a calmest space with the girl's main priority keeping Kimmi relaxed and excited for the day ahead.

Kimmi wore a beautiful off the shoulder white dress from Whistles and she had an outer layer added to the skirt of white lace with green embroidery detailing on it. She wore pale green heels with a cross over strap by The Perfect Bridal Company from Lavender & Jude in Suffolk.

It rained the whole morning while they were getting ready and we were all praying it would dry up in time for their first look they had planned. The weather gods must have missed our prayers but Kimmi and Ty were undeterred and were determined to go ahead with all their plans anyway.

It is crucial for me, as your photographer, to let these moments play out naturally. So other than telling Ty where to stand, I stepped back and said nothing and let it unfold. The last thing a couple want in this moment is me shouting instructions at them. I darted in and took Kimmi's umbrella off her so they could stand under one and chat for a couple of moments together.

I dunno about you, but I feel like the rain this MORE romantic!

We all jumped onto a coach to the registry office in Diss, Norfolk and we all witnessed one of the most emotional ceremonies I have ever seen. When I tell you I FELT every vow they spoke... where is the emotional emoji when I need it!?!

Ty's grandad did a reading during the ceremony which was beautiful. I highly recommend including your grandparents into readings and speeches as it is a perfect opportunity for more photos of them in a much more natural approach, opposed to formal group shots.

Kimmi and Ty had written private vows to each other and they had scouted out the place they wanted to read them, so after the ceremony all the guests went back to Glamp and Tipple on the coach and the 3 of us walked down to the lake behind the registry office.

It was raining, there were swans on the lake and it was so perfect. More so because Kimmi and Ty did NOT let the rain dampen [no pun intended] their mood or plans.

Once again - I wanted them to be fully in the moment, so I shot on a zoom lens and stood back.

I genuinely couldn't hear what they were saying to each other so they were private vows in every sense of the word.

We then did some couples portraits before heading back to the venue for a confetti entrance.

The see through marquee from Mortons Event Hire was perfect for the weather and still let in plenty of light. And although it was a wet and drizzly day, it was a bright day. The marquee was dressed to a simple and rustic style with British grown and locally sourced flowers in large milk urns. Flowers were by Anna Grace Florals, based in Suffolk. Their tables were dotted with bud vases and empty wine bottles as vases.

Their cocktail table looked so pretty and their beautiful cake was made and decorated by Kimmi's bridesmaid.

There was also a cheese stacked cake and a whole table of the most amazing desserts.

I have to dedicate a whole section of this blog to the best pork pie I have ever seen.

Ty's mum made 2 giant pork pies which Kimmi and Ty cut into like a traditional cake cut when they arrived back at their reception. Epic! In my opinion ALL weddings need a pork pie cut.... let's start the trend please.

Speeches are always one of my favourite parts of a day. It's a great opportunity for photos of your guests. These speeches were a rollercoaster of emotional, funny, hilarious and utterly thought provoking. The best combination.

In the evening - Kimmi and Ty took a group of their closest friends off to the meadow for some chill time. They opened a bottle of champers and enjoyed some time together. We also popped a bottle for spraying but not the good stuff - we saved that for drinking!
