Zoe & Joe's wedding at Jimmy's Farm, Suffolk

I arrived at Jimmy's Farm at 11am to meet Zoe as she was preparing to marry her husband to be, Joe. Zoe was chilling in a cottage, walking distance from the Farm and there was an excited but very relaxed atmosphere. Zoe had also booked videographer team Livvid, Liv and Ben. Liv joined us with the girls for the morning and Zoe was up for rolling around on the bed for some amazing, fun portraits.

Her sister then helped her get dressed and time for a few photos outside before we all headed over to the farm.

Zoe and Joe had booked my package that included a second shooter, so I was joined by the amazing Emma Shaw Photography. She joined Joe and the boys for the morning. Joe was with his best friends, his dad and their two sons. Dressed in black tie they all looked so classy and stylish.

Their ceremony was held in the teepee in the gardens. Zoe was walked down the aisle by her dad. Her bridesmaids were in emerald green satin gowns and they all held autumnal bouquets with lilac, hellebore, ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, roses, eustoma, chocolate cosmos, scabious and grasses. All made by the very talented Blooming Brilliance who is one of my recommeneded suppliers.

Jimmy's Farm allows confetti as long as it is biodegradable so Zoe and Joe opted for white paper confetti and it was stunning! Paper is my favourite option as it falls slower and you get a better flutter, which makes for awesome photos. As much as I don't want couples to do things "just for photos", confetti is one of those parts of the day that is for photos. So go big or go home I say!

By having a second shooter on the day I can position them to shoot from a "guest POV". I love how this adds depth to the confetti story.

Formal group shots were kept to a minimum [less than 10] so they were done nice and quick. With the wedding being in November we were aware we were going to lose light a lot earlier so straight after group shots and canapés myself and Liv from Livvid whisked them away for their couples portraits.

Zoe and Joe had requested some specific photos with the famous Jimmy's Farm sign and they still had a pumpkin patch set up on the farm so we used that too.

As ever I incorporated lots of movement for super natural and authentic photos. Liv works in the same way as me so this was great team work.

Liv handed over their camcorder for them to record each other. We all stepped back and let them relax into it but I had a zoom lens on so was able to capture their joy from a distance.

Zoe and Joe had booked a private animal experience. They had chosen to visit the Lemur enclosure. The Farm closes to the public at 4pm, so the couple and all their guests were given access to the farm. The children absolutely loved this [and so did the adults]. The lemurs were incredible and I loved it as much as they did.

It was dark as we started heading back to the main barn for dinner but we took the opportunity for some direct flash photography. They even had a bounce on the bouncy pillows in the kids adventure area.

We all headed in for speeches before food. Followed by sparklers on our way back to the teepee for the rest of the evening. They saved a handful of sparklers and we did some separately with the boys. I loved this idea so much.

The dance floor was started by Joe and Zoe dancing to the song that had played at their first school disco together - Flying Without Wings, Westlife. Their guests kept the dance floor buzzing with help of DJ Lee Entertainments. What a way to end an amazing and unique wedding day.
