However, at a picturesque barn in the heart of Norfolk, UK, a couple managed to combine elegance and rustic charm in a way that left everyone in awe. This black tie wedding was a true fairytale come to life, where the bride and groom seamlessly merged the formal sophistication of black tie attire with the cosy, rustic ambiance of a barn. With a classic black and white colour scheme, this wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Join us as we take a closer look at this unique and fun black tie wedding in Norfolk.

The choice of venue can set the tone for an entire wedding, and in this case, Sophie and Harry chose wisely. The wedding took place in a charming barn - Manor Mews located in the stunning Norfolk countryside. This raw brickwork of the barn provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that effortlessly blended elegance with coziness. The exposed wooden beams, fairy lights, lanterns and an abundance of fresh flowers created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

There is plenty of accommodation on site too which is great for your guests and loved ones. the perfect wedding all in one place.

beautiful decor

~

When Sophie said she was creating the majority of her décor herself I knew it was be beautiful. As a tattoo artist Sophie is a very talented creative, so I can understand her need to make this herself.

Long wooden tressle tables with cross back chairs. The space was littered with candles and greenery. It was the little personal touches that made this wedding truly special. The couple had custom-made black and white monogrammed stationery, from invitations to seating plans and wedding signage.

The personalised wine bottles were my personal favourite plus each persons name place was individually created especially for them.

The lads

~

These boys were seriously on point. Harry had an idea of a game day entrance and the videographer and I were happy to go with whatever plans they had.

All taking it in turns to walk down towards the accommodation, suits slung over a shoulder - beer in hand. Bloody brilliant!

The prep space for the boys is the best I have encountered at any Norfolk venue so far. Loads of space and light.

After they were ready we headed to the barn for some formal shots - well as formal as I could get these lads...

Ceremony

~

The ceremony took place in the barn. The choice of classic black and white décor and candles was carried through to the ceremony space, with black and white floral arrangements and elegant white chairs. Bridesmaids were dressed in nude colour multiway dresses and \each walked down the aisle with a groomsman.

Sophie was walked down the aisle by her sister.

Confetti

~

Dried petal confetti for the win.

Idea for extra bridesmaid and groomsmen photos

~

While everyone was still lined up for the confetti shot I asked the bridesmaids to strut their stuff down the confetti line while the guests cheered.

And of course the groomsmen wanted to have a go at this too...

Entertainment

~

Sophie and Harry booked a live singer who without a doubt got their party started. She was there from the drinks reception and sang during desserts. She was phenomenal and has such an ability the read the room and deliver exactly was was needed. In this case ENERGY!

Everyone was up on their feet and chairs dancing.

dancefloor

~

If you want a proper good dance floor then you need to stay on it after your first dance. If you come away people will gravitate towards you. Harry and Sophie got the memo and partied like I've rarely seen at a wedding. It made for great photos.

And if you are a photographer reading this - I used a star filter for the dancefloor which makes this effect on the lights.

A truly wonderful day that will be hard to top for a long time.

With much love and thanks to Sophie and Harry for choosing me to spend the day with you all.
